1971 - Graduated from Manchester College of Art with an hons. degree in Fine Art (painting / printmaking).

1974 - First solo ceramics exhibition At Rochdale Municipal Museum.

1974 - present day - Selling direct at ceramic shows and through galleries in the UK.

 

1987 - present day - Participant in international exhibitions in:

Japan : Yokkaichi, Nagoya, Seto.

Germany : Soest, Cologne, Krefeld, Hohr-Grenzhausen.

Holland : Nijmegen, Millsbeck, Swalmen, Eindhoven, Gouda, Dwingeloo.

Belgium : Maasiek, Brasschaat, Torhout.

Spain : Montblanc.

 

Work in private collections in Japan, New Zealand, Australia, and USA.

1993 to 2018 – Joint organiser of Potfest ceramic markets.

2000 - 1 month workshop residency in Yokkaichi, Japan.

2003 - Co-ordinated and participated in joint Japanese / British demonstrations and exhibition in Yokkaichi, Japan.

2007 - Research trip to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia including one week at Ban Chan pottery village, Luang Prabang.

2008 - Mick Casson award for services to ceramics (Geoff and Chris Cox).

2006 - International Chawan Exposition, Belgium.

2007 - Journees de la Ceramique - St Sulpice, Paris.

2009 - International Chawan Expositions, Torhout and Andennes, Belgium.

2010- International Chawan Expositions in Belgium, Holland, France and S. Korea.

2013 - Joint curator and exhibitor at “Potfest – Journeys in Clay” at Rheged Gallery, Penrith.

2015 – Joint 2 man exhibition with Geoff Cox at Upfront Gallery, Cumbria.

2016 – Gallery Oldham, with the Northern Potters Association.

2017 – Terrania ceramics market, Montblanc, Spain.

2019 – Invited guests at the Dresden ceramics market.

For the past 25 years I have been co-organiser, with my husband Geoff, of the Potfest ceramic markets in the UK. Since our retirement in 2019, our son Matthew, who has been organising Potfest Scotland for the past 10 years, has now taken over the day-to- day running of all the Potfest events thus freeing up time for the further development of my own ceramic work.
